Maybe I should have done a “How’s my driving?” Meme?

If I think back over the Gigs I must have heard a thousand insults, set in every pitch and tone imaginable. They get repetitive. I’ve heard them directed at me and everyone – and every deity – that the cast want to blame for whatever’s been happening to them. None of those are worth quoting.

The best I heard recently was at an Art Gallery. I was just drifting through. Operatives tended to avoid using the Mojo anywhere near Wolfram and Hart. It could lead to complications – maybe it still will if they ever get their act back together, but sometimes that bunch acted in surprising human ways.

From what I heard a guy called Suvarta started to suffer from stress-related problems and was advised to stop putting so much of himself into his work, so he started painting to unwind. I’ve never figured out why Wolfram and Hart are so set on getting human money (unless it’s just a way of keeping score) but Suvata decided to hold a Show. Free wine, nice little canapés. That’s why I was there and I’m not sure if the wine almost made up for the art-works or whether it was just spelled to make them look better. I’d got my magic throttled way back and maybe that distracted me from the worst.

Anyway, there was no music when one of the best-known art critics walked in with a little group of hangers-on, looked around and started to tell them what he was going to write…

I’ve heard that you can tell Wolfram and Hart that they’re evil and they take it as compliment. Tell them that their canteen is fit for Hannibal Lector and they’ll promote the chef – but don’t tell a Senior Partner,

“From a distance your work seemed to have a thrusting, primitive urgency. I was surprised to find that your technique is so naive. The composition is so innocent, almost child-like, and the …”

I hear that that critic’s still in one of the worst punishment dimensions they could dream up.
