Passing through Kif.
Oct. 13th, 2003 11:36 amWhen we left Catalina we took the portal back through Kif.
I was already hyped to run the mojo up and the baggage handlers at Kif could have caused a bonfire. There was this big green guy that claimed he was a Customs Inspector and needed to levy charges - you can probably guess the scam. So could everybody else when he started to sing about it.
The portable part of the computer got knocked out of my hand when a Fyall went for the "Inspector's" throat. Fyall are like that.
Having their necks wrung doesn't do Pyleanoids much harm, but most of the travellers got their "Taxes" back during the fight. The demon working the scam was so furious that he got really heated about it and I got an energy boost.
The computer wasn't working after it fell and I wasn't trusting the Mechanical Minion to a Kif engineer. I meant to get it fixed when we got to London, but I forgot human habits. I couldn't update my Journal until the local cyberwitch got back from Bermuda.
After all that it was the loose wire again, but it wouldn't have been a good idea to keep records while the gig was on anyway. People who are on the sound stage don't always like it.
