By the time they served the wine it was getting dark enough for me to be thankful that full moon was past. A couple of Vamps had drifted in and started to sing Victorian Music-Hall songs.
The place made a good omlette and Erynne agreed that it must be a decent enough kitchen because they named the meat. It seemed to be what they said it was, too - it isn't always.
By then the floor show was pretty good, too. Nobody does a Vesta Tilley like a Vamp who's feeling her age. The tourists seemed to agree and the place was getting really crowded - some of them were singing in the street outside, of course.
We were ready to leave, but the last singer was really worth hearing. Whatever he was, he was old enough to know all the words of With 'er 'ed Tucked Underneath Her Arm.
That reminded Erynne that our next stop would be the Tower, so we finished our wine and set off.
