When I first saw this question I thought it was just another nonsense. Not applicable - consider my magic. I just have to set things up right and you'll sing about your deepest secrets. You'll tell me what you want, who you want, what you've got... I can bring whole cities to ruin - and being able to get your politicians to sing about what bribes they took and where the bodies are buried can be a part of that, though in some cultures that stuff matters more than it does in others.
Then I thought about it. You humans sing about your emotions and those change from moment to moment. There's more than one kind of emotion, too. I can give a couple of targets a little magical nudge to find out how their relationship's getting along, hit at the wrong second and get a demonstration of just how physical they can get. Not that I'm complaining, but sometimes it's inconvenient. Distracting, anyway. Okay, bad example.
I've had a long time to develop my skills. I do all right, I get my Gigs done - I do get more entertainment out of some than others, but usually it works out just fine. But what might help is if I knew exactly what kind of nudge, or what kind of question, what kind of stimulus would get me the result I want from every person I meet.
(Hey, does D'Hoffryn have anything to do with this? That ain't a wish, that's just an answer.)
