TM 101 What are you like in the morning?

I'm usually still awake from the night before!

I think I touched on that already when I was asked about my favorite time of day. If I’m on a Gig I’ll be smoking around, listening in, learning and such. Human songs can get real intense by about 3 a.m. but that’s a time when the energies die down, it can go either way…

Oh, I guess they mean what am I like when I first wake up? It depends what I was doing before I went to sleep! If I wake up safe at home then I curl back down into that nice warm nest under the quilt and wait for breakfast. There are advantages to having Minions.

The Minions at home aren’t the Gig team type. Some operatives seem to recruit house-minions who just get on with things without their master having to bother about it too much. Sometimes that doesn't work for me - I tend to tune out clutter and such, or cast a glamor to hide it. Running a household takes effort and remembering to check on what they’re doing. It's always a relief when the latest little Missus can take over that side of things and keep them working. It keeps the girl busy when I ain't around, too and some of them have been so thrilled to have staff - they don't get a kick out of that so much lately, though. It seems to be out of fashion.

Well, like I said, I’ll tend to wake up and then curl back down. I guess I ought to give instructions for the day to the Minions while I eat my breakfast but if I’m at home it’s nice to wake up slow and easy. I’ve been able to pick from a lot of your best inventions so the latest bath is modelled on Roman, or the Arab harem pools, heated and scented but big enough to swim in. I sometimes like to have company, then – and I won’t necessarily want the Minions anywhere near.

I guess I’m pretty laid-back in the mornings, really - provided everything is just exactly as I like it.
