I felt like celebrating after we got the talisman. This place
still looks like a barn from the outside, but a service called
Dragon's Greed claimed that they delivered meals anywhere
and the food wasn't bad.
Erynne seemed quite pleased with it, too. I may use them
again (unless they can keep track of which payments don't
register, of course.)
It was a time for celebrating in style - but what we have is
Sunnydale. I wanted to check the Bronze out anyway, so that's where we went.
The band didn't even need much mojo to stick to soft rock at first, and then just edge into swing ...
Firewalled against those who might disapprove. There didn't seem to be too many changes between this dimension's version and the last Bronze I'd seen, so it'd probably be workable to use the place if necessary. I asked Erynne to check out where the cameras are.
She looked pretty good, though the dress she'd chosen wasn't right for active dancing. It was a variation of her usual straight up and down black, but with big white buttons down the length on one side. I kept wondering if they were going to pop open or come off.
There were a couple of louts who were just too interested - and the trouble with seeing minds is that I do see them. OK, I'm an experienced operative; I do not draw attention to myself, especially at the Bronze, now, and, as far as I know, security cameras don't glamor worth a damn
I managed to resist temptation - but then two of them were getting into a car near ours when the place closed and one of them sounded the horn. I was about to cast the mojo when Erynne touched my arm and indicated a security camera almost above us. So we left quietly. I'll remember them, though.

"sneak preview"--delete if you want but was curious
Date: 2003-07-11 11:07 am (UTC)Not a man's fault if he sees what's right in
front of him. You might be happier if you
kept her in line.
But enjoy y'self while you can, with her.If
my Ladyhas anythin' to say about it, Erynne's
not gonna be fun for long.

Date: 2003-07-12 05:41 am (UTC)*Looks at the lout and scoffs* When it comes to wantin' to keep women in line, everybody's got their own ways - you do things your way, I do things right ....
*Casts mojo, hoping to get a look at who and where Joshua's Lady is. Instead gets too good a look at Joshua .... Sneers*
Did you find your mind under a rock somewhere? Or did they have to inbreed specially to get it? *Hopes to get sing-and-burn-reaction, instead notices security camera. Takes Erynne's arm and leaves, remaining between her and the youth throughout.*
Do you know that scruff? I thought he used your name...
