Beverly Hills

The Beverly Hills place doesn't look too bad. I think Erynne'll like it - well, it's an improvement on a cave, or a barn. If he gets the part we can stay here the whole time he's on location.
There are staff, too. That doesn't work as well as minions, but I guess I'll get used to it. At least one of them can cook, so I got a meal prepared and told them to set up a drinks trolley out by the pool. There's some fancy champagne wrapped like a baby and sitting there in an ice-bucket, and they set up these green floating tables that're supposed to look like lilypads.
I think they had to send someone out for Cokes and Pepsis, and maybe the Bacardi too. (When I said I wanted Coke one of them brought that powdered stuff! I don't know what she did with it after I told her to take it away.)
Anyway, once it was all set up I gave them the rest of the day off and waited for Erynne to arrive...

Date: 2003-07-19 12:17 pm (UTC)in the car for now. That was fun, but not
something I want to do every day. *sits next
to you*...How was everything over in London?

Date: 2003-07-19 12:28 pm (UTC)I found a dimensional import store in Portobello Road. I got a couple of things I wanted to show you....
You look so different with your hair piled up that way.
Should we take the trolley back inside? You look set up for something formal...

Date: 2003-07-19 12:40 pm (UTC)*looks at you and can't hold back rueful laugh*
What I'd like to do is get into a swimsuit.
It's really bad, isn't it? Talk about that
dress of Amber's not suiting me!

*leaves dress folded on chair,
comes back to you*

Date: 2003-07-19 12:59 pm (UTC)*Slyly, hint of a grin* don't you want to use some sunblock? I got some for you...

Date: 2003-07-19 01:04 pm (UTC)*gives you a quick kiss*
Oh? Well, I might need some help with that...

Date: 2003-07-20 04:27 am (UTC)I was wondering if you'd say that. We use this stuff a lot, on Quaverel. It's supposed to be available in a lot of dimensions but I didn't know that it was imported here, until today.
*Opens tub, scooping cream into a big bowl while speaking. It smells faintly of oranges.*
It's supposed to have been developed on Diran as a high energy tonic. Got about 15 kinds of vitamins. A lot of dimensions market it as a cream to nourish dry skin, especially the humans, and it's a good sunblock. We use it, too, it's real soothing.
*Reseals tub and carefully returns it to the bottom shelf of the trolley.* They call it Chorange, here....

Date: 2003-07-20 06:43 am (UTC)It smells wonderful...could you help do my
shoulders and my back? I wouldn't mind some
"soothing"--my left arm is a bit sore. Those
bags got heavier than I expected *laughs*
High energy? Think we'll need some of this
later? ...planning another swim lesson, are you?
*turns so back is to you, rubbing at her neck*

Date: 2003-07-20 07:35 am (UTC)Now, how this stuff works is, all the cream that your skin needs is supposed to be absorbed within about three minutes. Your skin may be really dry, though, it's just vanishing - that's right... just relax....
*Tips out more cream, smoothing it over your back with fairly light, circular movements*
It's not too cool? Want me to undo the back of this bikini? Or will you do it? I already have cream on my hands...

Date: 2003-07-20 07:46 am (UTC)No, will you get it? That feels good...
*notices you've vanished jacket, shirt*
*smiles impishly*
*edges closer a little bit*

Date: 2003-07-20 08:28 am (UTC)You just relax. It isn't sinking in so fast, now. That's good... *Tips more cream into palm*
I'm not sure if you've wrenched this shoulder *Fingers press gently* Does that hurt? Gotta know about muscles for dancin'. Just as well your hair is piled up ....
*Moves onto edge of recliner, it widens with sound of metal feet on tiles...*

Date: 2003-07-20 08:38 am (UTC)hit a sore spot*
*flinches slightly, bumps into your other arm*
*cream drips onto her wrist, fingers*
*licks it away without thinking*
Is that edible, too? It tastes like one of those
chocolate oranges...yum!

Date: 2003-07-21 04:00 pm (UTC)*Grins,* Oh, do you like the taste, too?
It is edible - it was developed as a high energy tonic food on Diran. They say that 'most everybody likes it. It's a delicacy in some places, and it's very popular as a kind of ... garnish, or maybe I mean a seasoning?
* leans over to brush lips lightly against the back of your neck... Recliner seems to shift, slightly - casts mojo almost instinctively, widening the recliner again to increase its stability. Does not realize that one leg of the recliner is no longer on the edge of the pool, but is now over the water...*
The downside of this stuff is that it's very high in calories. Eat too much of it and it takes exercise to burn it off. Might be better to swim, or something, instead of just lounging by the pool ...
*Still smoothing on the cream while talking; sudden grin,*
Oh, and talking of swimming lessons, you haven't claimed your prize yet, and we're in L.A. now... *Grins* Will I need extra energy?

Date: 2003-07-21 04:07 pm (UTC)*recliner slides a couple of inches to left,
toward pool*
*looks up and grins mischievously*
You might. I recall that swimming lesson was a bit
demanding for you...maybe we should--
*other leg of recliner skids off edge into water*
*recliner tilts suddenly*
*mattress is jerked off frame, rolls into water,
taking both of you with it*

*moves toward ladder at far end of pool,

such great exercise...

Date: 2003-08-06 04:54 pm (UTC)I don't know why it's locked, either - guess it's for storage or something. All the livin' areas are downstairs... *chuckles* What part of the house were you looking for?
