Yellow Alert
Feb. 12th, 2004 05:57 amI had a word with the Minions as soon as I got the chance. The computer should have been rigged to alert me as soon as Erynne regained consciousness.
I'd left instructions on how she should be cared for (and there'd been some odd vibes around when they built that enclosure onto the nursing and rehabilition room! There have been Queens that stayed confined, of course, but they were usually pretty specific about royal quarters being indoors!
It was the size and apparent openess of the Queen's apartments that caused the gossip. Of course, it's basically the usual - what Erynne calls a forcefield around a tailored environment. The medical staff took the news of what was in store quite well, considering.
Newlands only has one moon. That makes things simpler, but the cycle isn't the same as the one on Earth. The time-rate is very close, which should please Erynneif once she's well enough to discuss things.)
I'd wanted to be there, but there were loose ends that needed tying up on Earth and there was nothing I could do in Newlands North.(And she wasn't conscious. Marty didn't think she'd live - none of the team did. I can't stand waiting, not being able to do anything, so... )
I made all the arrangements. (It'd be safer to take a stroll inside a live volcano than to try to harm Erynne on Newlands, now.)
I just got the computer signal that the Talisman wearer is now conscious. I'm starting back at once, with the Team.
Marty has picked up Erynne's tonic. The minion outfits don't show expressions and they have to be immune to the mojo, (Guild rules,) but from the set of his shoulders he didn't like that part of the job.
The Diran wouldn't have been bothered by it, but it'd be pushing things to try to bring her through, now.
