One thing I had overlooked is that Erynne may not like Quain food. We don't have the same tastes at all. She eats much more meat than I do. There wasn't much chance to make arrangements about all that when we left.

It seems to be a custom around here to bring a girl chocolates, or take her out for a meal. I wanted to take back something that I know that Erynne likes, so I gave the Diran a bonus to pick them up for me.

Nixi produced them very quickly. (I may never get used to the idea of referring to people by name when you don't want to harm them, but she hates the idea of being called a minion so I don't use the word. I wonder if humans have another word for it?)

I like some of the little sugary cakes that they have in this dimension. There were snacks of some kind on a hall table at the Inn, and I took one as I went past. It tasted - tasteless, not sugary at all - and a thing that I thought was icing turned out to be a strange little note.

That reminds me, I wonder when the full moon is, in Newlands North? I should be getting back there. I must contact Nixi about getting some tranquillizer guns, too. I don't think we've ever had them, thrall is usually enough. I guess we're all going to be in for some new experiences.
