TM 320: What do you command?
Feb. 15th, 2010 04:58 amThat’s an interesting question, but it might get a bit depressing. I don’t command the internet, that’s for sure. That’s a dimension that I can hardly get into right now. It’s never easy when I’m travelling – at least, when I ain’t got a Gig to work on.
I suppose I command the Gigs, in a way, but I don’t know where I’m going, who I’m going to collect or how I’ll handle the targets until I get there. I sure as hell command the cast when I do get there! (Up to a point, anyway.) Hell, I shouldn’t have recorded this. It’s easier to write than to get this gadget to handle the accent.
What do I command?
I command the music,
I command the beat,
I can set them dancing
in the street.
I command the singing,
All those hearts laid bare,
They’ll sing out their feelings
Anywhere.
The music’s like a fire
That’s driven by the wind,
They’ll sing their hearts desire
Or tell me how they sinned,
The music’s like a fountain
That flows right from the heart,
And my cast will be singing from the start.
I command the music,
But I guess you’ll see
I command the music -
it rules me.
