There seemed to be a dark, foreboding feeling all over Sunnydale last night - not just the usual Tuesday stuff, either. Perhaps it was just that Willy's was closed. I like that place, they're welcoming enough to anyone who knows how to behave and sometimes it used to seem like a perpetual party. (Hmmm, I've got to know too many people here. It's been a long gig.) But yesterday it was as though there was a shadow over Sunnydale.

I've got a feeling,
That something's coming,
There's something twisted in its soul
that's drawing near...

I've got feeling,
There's something hunting
There's something shadowed in its heart
that's causing fear,

I've got a feeling
now the Dark claws out,
We're coming to the final act,
Of that I've little doubt...

And how depressin' that feelin' was as well. Put me in a bad mood all night. :(

Joan said you could possibly help me with my hair...it got a bit fried the other nightm 'm afraid.

Not a problem - I can cast the glamor so people see it as it was. We could even change the style. (Not a good idea to cover skin burns that way, though. You need to see how your healing.)

That'd be crackin', luv. The burns I can live with. They'll heal soon enough...it's the hair 'm worried about. *looks at the ends in dismay* That Turner must be evil.

Anyone who messes with a girl's hair is at least a little evil...

Joan, does that include me? You threw me when you said that hair was sacred, that day.

I meant "messes" in the sense of making it bad. You make it at least look nice...that's never evil.

Sometimes it's difficult to remember all the rules and regulations and laws of all the ages of man - but I was shocked this morning.

Have you seen the news? they have killed a musician!. By all the Lore of Thespis and Terpsichore, it is surely still death to harm a Bard?

I'm glad that you still your style - is the damage growing out now?

I feel it now and again...it's feeling more normal, yes. I do so appreciate you putting the spell on it.

Good. I can lift it at any time so you can see what still needs to be done, and then cast it again.

Did Joan tell you how it works? Your hair will look OK but anyone touching you will know that it isn't as it looks. Magic always has a price, but a mojo like that shouldn't cause you trouble. I use the cosmetic ones all the time. *laughs* I can't help it, sometimes.

Those nasty blemishes that pop up, yeah? *laughs* I know all 'bout magick, mate, 'm a bit of a witch myself. (How else do you think I didn't burn to death the other night?) It's muchly appreciated, though.

How will you have it? As it was? I usually have a good eye for that kind of detail (and for beauty, of course.)

I quite fancied it as it was, thanks. :)

Did Joan tell you the rest? I can change your clothes back, too - if you permit, and your present look is not becoming to you.

Joan didn't say much 'bout it. *looks down at the light dress she borrowed from Liz* What's that?

I see you as darker - perhaps the experience has affected your emotional fire a little. Anyway *casts the mojo* - see if you like this better.

Beg pardon? *is a tad bit confused* Darker? My attire? Or my hair (which is most dark as it is)? Maybe I have been a bit emotional since nearly turnin' to ashes...

Uhmm...*suddenly misses her reflection and looks down at her ends* Oh! Most lovely. :)

I really can't gaze upon myself in the mirror, luv. How different do I appear?

Your hair regains it's length and shine
(- as it will, in a few weeks time)
eyelashes, eyebrows soon regrow,
until they do, no-one will know
that your look was
a shade more drear,
and you're not quite
as you appear.
