The customs that they know,
Their loves and lives and losses
And the feelings that they know,
There’s some worlds where they marry once
And think it very nice,
There are others that I know of
Where more spouses add some spice!
I’ve been wedded and been bedded,
You should maybe ask my wives,
There are cases where the marriage,
Has lasted all their lives.
There are those who sing that one alone
Can always hold their heart
While others seem to care the most
About some other part,
There’s some who sing “Monotony,
Is one spouse at a time.”
And those who might step out
But think it all a waste of time.
I’ve been wedded and been bedded,
And I’ve heard a different song.
And some are over far too soon
While others last too long.
There are those who like variety
And those who cleave to one,
There are those who might have danced away
But they’re having too much fun,
There are those who take life easy,
There are those who find it tough,
All I can say is, it depends
One can be quite enough…
