Liberating Army Surplus

Percy and Samantha have been planning to explore the military base that they found about 5 miles away. I'm not keen on solder-boys and I had my fill of their bases during my last encounter with them, but they say that this place is deserted.
(Of course, that's what I was told last time, but this time I'd heard some of the local demons talking in Willy's, saying that there were no soldiers left around there at all. Willy's has been closed for a while now [and I miss that place.] That gossip was going around back before Sunnydale emptied out, so it seems likely to be true.)
We could pick up some useful stuff if it is true. The generators here are gas-powered and we need more fuel. I don't even know if I'm on back-up power at my own base, but I want to keep the supply going if I am. Cathy had a jeep, and that seemed to be real useful if you need to take things cross-country.
Percy was talking about guns, too, but I thought a couple more of those trank-guns might be more useful, if we could get them. But basically we were after anything that looked useful, though I didn't know how much we'd be able to use outside Sunnydale.
Percy drove the Mustang. The roads were smooth enough until the last bit, when we were way outside town. Then they were rutted. It looked as though something with heavy treads had been driven in and out of the main entrance.
That was closed, and the whole base was fenced and secure. I cast the mojo and there were no human minds at all, just something that might have been an animal way over on the far side, probably outside the perimeter. Samantha and Percy were checking around the area and said they'd found a tunnel system. They took off through that and I just smoked in.
The place seemed completely deserted. There were rows of those huts that look like huge tin cans cut sideways, surrounding what I suppose was a parade ground. (Percy said that they were Nissan huts; ugly things.) Anyway. I made it about 30 at a rough count.
Samantha and Percy took long enough to get through those tunnels for me to wonder if they'd run into some kind of trap. When they did come out they looked a bit ruffled and I didn't bother to hide my amusement about it.
